A former senior member of a secret society in Klang called ‘Double Seven’ (77) was arrested by the police in Keramat Wangsa on the afternoon of 1 September. Nicknamed ‘Tiger Snook’, the man and five friends were reported to have come to Jalan 25/56 Keramat Wangsa to monitor the installation works of a fiber optic pipe at 3.30pm.

Videos and photos of the arrest have been circulating on the Internet ever since the incident took place.

A source said that Tiger Snook was assigned to monitor the situation during the installation works at the location after being given the responsibility as a security supervisor.

“However, there was a commotion when one of his friends injured a group of food shop traders who wanted to negotiate on the installation of the fiber pipe,” the source told Beritan Harian.

“As a result, several residents and nearby traders informed the police.”

Criminal Investigation Division Inspector Abdul Hafiz Ab Hakim rushed to the location along with a team from the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters and arrested all the suspects.

Abdul Hafiz added that investigations revealed the fight did not involve arguments between the secret society but instead was about wanting to do riots. The case is being investigated in accordance to Section 147 Penal Code.

Tiger Snook, 42, was last arrested by the police on 2 September 2016 after being involved in a fight at an entertainment centre in Dang Wangi district on the night of 31 August 2016.
