Untimely deaths are always tragic and shocking but when a 27-year-old Chinese man was found dead in his apartment in Jiangsu, China on Wednesday night, it was his choice of attire that also added to the shock factor of his death.

According to Chinapress, the man was found clad in a popular Japanese schoolgirl costume. The man, identified only as Sun, who worked at an online company, was found sprawled on the floor dressed in the sailor-like outfit, complete with a mini skirt and knee-high stockings.

Apparently on that fateful night, his mother had called him but there was no answer and the worried mother asked a relative living nearby to check on him. When the relative arrived at Sun’s unit, he tried to open the door but it was locked.

Having no choice, he forced open the door and found Sun lying on the floor, already dead but clad in an unusual outfit choice. It is believed that he had also wrapped his neck with a gauze. The shocked relative made a police report and when paramedics arrived at the scene, they pronounced him dead.

Neighbours who were interviewed described Sun as an introverted, quiet man who kept to himself but was a nice person.
