The loss of someone’s life is always a tragedy, especially when it belongs to a young person who still has a bright future ahead.

Yesterday morning, a young man was found dead in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, at KL Sentral station. He is believed to have suffered from head injuries due to a fall.

According to Chinapress, the deceased was identified as 20-year-old Wu Jia Liang and the incident happened at around 1am. His distressed mother, 39-year-old Li Bao En, said that her son was working in a mobile phone shop at Nu Sentral and would usually finish work at 5pm every day.

She also said that they did not live together but he would take the train back to his house in Wangsa Maju after a long day at work. Sadly, the deceased did not manage to live long enough to celebrate his 21st birthday next month.

When the tragedy occurred, the train services had already stopped, so police are still investigating the reason for the deceased to be there at that time and the cause of his fall. They also discovered that his mobile phone and wallet was gone.

Oriental Daily reports that Wu had fallen from a place that was not fenced off, where the height was around his chest level. The police initially suspected that he had drunk a little too much but his mother was not convinced, and said that he was a very well-behaved and obedient child who rarely went out at night.

She implores any witness who saw her son to come forward and help with the investigation. Meanwhile, the police have temporarily classified the sad incident as sudden death but will continue to probe further into Wu’s untimely death.

Such a young life lost too soon. May his soul rest in peace.
