KLK Land Sdn Bhd (KLK Land), the property development arm of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), is progressing towards the official opening of Coalfields Retail Park on 20 August 2026, its first retail development, with approximately 85% occupancy secured ahead of launch.

The milestone was marked by a tenant engagement event held on 2 April at the mall’s site, bringing together partners and tenants as the development enters its final phase towards opening, following the issuance of its Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) obtained on 12 March 2026.

The strong take-up to date reflects growing confidence in both the development and its ability to serve the wider catchment across Sungai Buloh, Kuala Selangor, Puncak Alam and Rawang.

Coalfields Retail Park represents KLK Land’s first retail development and marks the next phase in the evolution of Bandar Seri Coalfields, as the township continues to mature into a more complete and integrated environment.

“Coalfields Retail Park marks an important step in strengthening Bandar Seri Coalfields as an integrated, master-planned township, and with approximately 85% occupancy to date, the take-up reflects strong confidence in both the development and the broader catchment it serves. We are targeting our soft opening on 20 August 2026 and look forward to welcoming visitors to a vibrant lifestyle destination, supported by a strong mix of junior anchors, family-oriented attractions and lifestyle brands, designed to serve the everyday needs of the surrounding community,” said Ms Lee Wen Ling, Managing Director of KLK Land.

Strategically located within Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh in the North Klang Valley, the mall spans 21 acres and has a gross built-up area of approximately 1,000,000 sq ft.

The development comprises a 2 ½-storey hybrid indoor and outdoor concept and is directly connected to a 7-acre lake park. It is accessible via Jalan Kuala Selangor, Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), and the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR).

Coalfields Retail Park features a thoughtfully curated mix of anchor and key tenants, including:

  • Village Grocer
  • Harborland
  • Serai Seafood Restaurant
  • Blue Ice Skating Rink
  • Skechers
  • Decathlon
  • KKV
  • Pickle Park
  • Panda Eyes
  • Harvey Norman
  • Maybank

Other exciting line-up of local and international brands, including popular favourites such as McDonald’s, Kanteen, The Social, Canton Boy, La Pane Pizza, Andra by Gula Cakery, Hock Kee Kopitiam, Little Cravings, Volcano Shabu Shabu, Baskin Robbins, Fish & Co., The Colourist, and Carlo Rino, among others.

Complementing this diverse line-up is a selection of other retailers- spanning fashion, home and living, and lifestyle, such as Daisy by Voir, Bata, Hooga, Tomei, Big Pharmacy and many more. Together, this dynamic tenant mix is set to deliver a vibrant and engaging retail experience, offering something for everyone.

“As the surrounding areas continue to grow with an increasing residential population, the retail and lifestyle offering within this part of the North Klang Valley remains relatively underserved. We see strong demand for a well-curated, convenient and community-centric destination that caters to this expanding catchment, and Coalfields Retail Park is well-positioned to meet these needs,” Lee added.

Supported by a population of over 1 million within a 20-minute drive, the mall is anchored by an established residential catchment of more than 10,000 residents within Bandar Seri Coalfields, alongside a growing base of young families and mid- to upper-income households. The township, currently at approximately 70% completion, continues to record steady growth, supported by ongoing residential developments such as Walden 2 and Quinton. This is further underpinned by KLK Land’s broader landbank of approximately 5,000 acres in the surrounding corridor, which is being progressively unlocked as the location continues to mature.

Coalfields Retail Park complements KLK Land’s broader portfolio across residential, industrial, and commercial developments, as the Group continues to focus on building integrated townships that create enduring value and endearing places for communities over the long term.
