Remember Ivana Smit? The Dutch model who was found dead after she allegedly fell from the 20th floor of a condominium owned by an American who lives with his Kazakh wife?
Well, after CCTV footage of the model being carried out of the club surfaced, now the couple who was apparently last seen with Ivana had recently given their statement on the issue, reported The Star.
According to Alex Johnson, 44, and his wife Luna, 31, the two of them had a threesome with Ivana in a five-star hotel in November 2017. They claimed to have had sex with the model three weeks prior to Ivana’s tragic death.
The couple admitted the incident in an interview with Daily Mail.
Prior to the unfortunate incident, the couple met Ivana through a mutual acquaintance at a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur in October 2017. They said that they were drinking heavily and also that Ivana had allegedly taken drugs.
“She asked me to stand up and dance with her. We weren’t kissing, but we were doing sexy moves. She was beautiful, charming, confident. I was already melting,” said Luna.
Besides that, they had also reportedly set up a Whatsapp group, which contained explicit flirting.
After that night, Luna said that she, her daughter and Ivana had breakfast together in the morning.
“Ivana was hammered. I kept talking to her as I got my daughter ready for school. Ivana lay down while I took her there,” added Luna.
Luna later said when she returned from sending her daughter to school, she saw that her husband and Ivana were on their bed but Alex was asleep. Then, Luna and Ivana apparently got intimate before Luna went back to her bedroom to lay down with her husband.
After that, when Luna came out of the room at about 10am, she claimed that Ivana was “wandering around, talking to herself and giggling”.
“I was so tired after all this partying. At 10.15am I went back to the bedroom. When my head hit the pillow, I passed out,” she added.
Then, around 1.25pm, Luna woke up and found Ivana’s things in the lounge/kitchen. So, she assumed that Ivana had gone to a photoshoot. However, later that day, they were woken up by the police at around 5pm with news of Ivana’s unfortunate death.
Nevertheless, even after that, the couple had kept their innocence intact by claiming that there were footprints on the balcony and on top of the air-conditioning units.
Now, the question everyone’s probably asking is, why did they only decide to disclose this info now?
Well, according to them, they had been receiving death threats since the murder claim was publicised. They said that there was even an attempt to kidnap their five-year-old daughter.
“A man phoned our nanny, Maha, saying that he was Luna’s father and would be picking her up from school. Luna’s father died before she was born.”
“We never intended to make the details of our marriage public. Now we fear our own lives are in danger, and we have no choice,” he said.
On the other hand, Ivana’s family lawyer, Sebas Diekstra said that this ‘new’ piece of information confirms the second post-mortem report that the teen did have sex prior to her death.
Plus, Sebas also mentioned that Dr Frank van de Goot, who conducted her second autopsy, said that he had found ‘male DNA’ in Ivana’s body and suspected that she might have had sex before her death.
“In the Netherlands, you can be prosecuted if you commit sexual acts on someone who is unconscious or under reduced consciousness,” said Sebas.
Additionally, Ivana’s uncle, Fred Agenjo, believed that his niece was not competent and not in control of her actions because there were huge amounts of drugs found in her body, so she cannot be held accountable for her actions.
“If anyone still had sex with an 18-year-old girl who was in that condition, that’s not good. They should stay away from someone under such circumstances,” he said.
What do you think of the new statement confessed by the couple? Do you still think Ivana’s death was a horrible accident, or was it murder? Tell us what you think in the comments!
We hope this case can be resolved soon so that Ivana can truly rest in peace.
