PAS Secretary-General Takiyuddin Haji Hassan said the Islamic party will take action against PAS Perak Chief for his recent remarks about Hannah Yeoh “being the daughter of the late Yeoh Tiong Lay.”

Takiyuddin said that personal opinions do not represent the party’s position, nor do they represent one’s position. Even if PAS Perak Chief – Haji Razman Zakaria speaks as chairman, he cannot represent it.

“For us, this is just an isolated case. Other political parties are worse off, with some even calling people ‘bastards’. But we are an Islamic party and we are still under control. Our members and leaders are still disciplined,” Takiyuddin said.

According to China Press, internal action will certainly be taken against Haji Razman, with at least a verbal warning to show that the management does take action.

However, only the President of PAS – Hadi Awang, can decide on central affairs.

“Party members can express their views, and we all know the consequences. We have taken everything into consideration, and we hope the party members can leave the matter for the management to handle.”

Earlier, during a speech, Haji Razman Zakaria claimed that Hannah Yeoh is the daughter of the founder of YTL Corporation Berhad.

The PAS Perak Chief has since apologized for his blunder, although Hannah had sent a letter of demand to the former.
