Most men will do whatever it takes not to cause their partner to get upset, and that might involve having to lie from time to time. However, a man in Sarawak took this to another level after he lied about getting robbed after he lost his wife’s money.

According to the New Straits Times, the man who was afraid of being scolded for losing his wife’s RM850 had filed a false report about being robbed.

However, he was arrested for making a false report after the police discovered that the crime never happened.

Kota Samarahan police chief Deputy Superintendent Jaimi Husin said the man came to the police station at 8:22 pm, claiming to be the victim of an armed robbery in Kampung Tanjung Bundong by two men on motorcycles.

He also claimed that he had been assaulted with a sharp weapon and that he lost RM850 in cash, three packages belonging to customers and a smartphone, said Jaimi.

“Our probe showed that the crime did not occur. The suspect confessed to filing a false report about losing his wife’s RM850 while sleeping in a parking lot in Bandar Riyal.”

“He made the false report to avoid being scolded by his wife,” added Jaimi.

We wonder how much scolding he will now get from his wife!
