Scrolling through social media, we can’t help but to see a lot of salty comments targeted towards our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Most netizens tend to get away with it, but not these unlucky three.

According to MMO, three Malaysian netizens were charged at the Kuala Lumpur Cyber Court today for posting offensive content against our beloved Prime Minister. How dare you?!

Here are the three accused individuals and what they allegedly did:

1. Ng Thai Quen, 19

Occupation: Storekeeper

Accused for: Superimposing Najib’s head on a dog’s body with the Umno logo on its chest. The dog was then ridden by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. That. Is. Bold.

2. Nor Sabariah Abdul Kadir, 29

3. Mazlan Yusoff, 48

Occupation: Roti canai seller

Accused for: Superimposing Najib’s head on the body of China’s founding father, Mao Zedong. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he then posted the edited picture together with an article titled “Zimbabwe Today Is M’sia Tomorrow”, according to The Star.

All three of them were charged under Section 233(1a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. If convicted, they could be fined a maximum of RM50,000 or get imprisoned for one year, or both. However, all three pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.

So, you guys might want to think twice before dropping those salty comments on social media because some thoughts are best kept to yourselves. Respect my PM!
