“Pls replace old video with this” – Syed Saddiq Posts New Video of His Badminton Skills After Being Teased

Many Malaysians are surprised that Syed Saddiq did not make it as the Youth and Sports Minister. Following that, many teased him on social media saying that the ‘reason’ he wasn’t chosen is because of his ‘badminton skills’.

In the video that was going viral on Twitter shared by @starderys, it appears that Syed Saddiq was in a doubles game when the shuttlecock hit him in the shoulder. Throughout the 7-second video, Syed Saddiq did not hit any shots, and this made many netizens to tease him playfully online.

Following that video, witty Syed Saddiq then posted a new video on his TikTok account with the caption:

“Please replace the old video with this instead”

The new video showcased him playing badminton gracefully with his partner, showing good partnership. The video then garnered quite a bit of views with netizens saying that they’re unable to forget the first video as it was hilarious.

A netizen commented cheekily that it’s too late to replace as the previous video is stuck in her memory 😀

Another netizen jokingly asked how many takes it took for him to film this new video. “It’s hard to move on from old videos”, she said.
