Multiple scams are being conducted day by day and the sheer amount of it is very worrying as we might not know who they will target next.

In a thread that has gone viral on Twitter, Nabil Hussein has talked about how he interacted with a scammer who offered a lucrative job that was also easy to do.

The scammer texts Nabil and says that they found his resume on a platform name Ajobthing. Then, the person named Alyssa says that they are from Poststore Sdn Bhd and are offering an online job that pays RM4k-10k!

In the description of the job, it says that the only responsibilities are to like and follow “celebrities on TikTok” and that the pay can be RM150-300 per day.

“Flexible hours, easy to operate and doesn’t interfere with your daily activities thus can be done as a part time.”

Alyssa then gave Nabil a trial run and asked him to follow an account on TikTok to get RM12. When the job was done, RM12 was promptly credited into his Touch and Go e-wallet by a person named Edwin.

Since they have established that they are “trustable” they asked Nabil to download an app for the job with the excuse that they have a lot of employees and they can’t reach out to them one by one.

Nabil then asked them about their company as he knew that Poststore is a logistics company. In fact, he went on LinkedIn to talk to their operations manager about this job. The manager replied and said,

“Just ignore it, we don’t offer online jobs. Please report it as spam.”

Later on, Nabil confronted the scammer and they retaliated.

“You can do it if you want, if you don’t want to do it, it’s useless for me to explain.”

“The salary you deserve is not worse than you.”

“Look at a thing with your common sense, it is the best.”

After the whole saga, Nabil warns everyone to not download any software outside of Google Play or Apple Appstore. These softwares will be able to access your banking accounts and also see your TAC codes when sent.

“If anyone approaches you for jobs like these, be vigilant as they are all scammers.”

Well, if it sounds too good to be true then it might actually be the case.
