The heart wants what it wants, but not all wants should happen just because they can. A man in India recently found love at the most unexpected time with the most unexpected person.

The bride is family

45-year-old Sikandar Yadav found love in 55-year-old Geeta Davi, his mother-in-law after spending a lot of time together. The pair never intended to reveal their relationship but it was exposed by Geeta’s husband, Dileshwar Darve.

Sikandar, who is also a father of 2 moved in with his in-laws after his wife’s death. Fate always has mysterious ways of bringing 2 people together and it was during the time spent in his in-law’s house when Sikandar and Geeta fell for each other.

With Geeta still married to her husband and given the bizarre nature of the relationship, it was never going to be easy to make the newfound love public. Sikandar and Geeta, however, had 1 less concern when Dileshwar found out about their forbidden love.

The “romance” is then reported to the Panchayat – the village council.

Surprisingly, Geeta’s husband became cupid who “matchmade” Sikandar and his wife by going to court to legalise the marriage, but not before going through a process with the Panchayat.

Sikandar confessed his love for Geeta in front of the Panchayat and the villagers

The marriage was agreed by Dileshwar and the Panchayat and even arranged everything to make the marriage happen.

According to a video posted on the X page of NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs and a report by The Hindustan Times, Dislehwar HAPPILY gave consent for the pair to proceed with the marriage.

He became suspicious of Sikandar and Geeta when he noticed the pair got closer than usual before catching them red-handed.

The consent has been given, and both have attended the court to “formalise” the new chapters in their lives. What do you think of Sikandar and Geeta’s love story?
