With the Johor State Election just around the corner, all parties are doing the best they can to gain the trust and votes from the rakyat. But it’s not always a walk in the park.

A government-linked company in Stulang Baru, Johor, PIJ Holdings Sdn Bhd, has filed a police report against MUDA today (4 March) for allegedly trespassing and using the “Inkubator Usahawan” site as an operations centre.

“The company was established to assist young entrepreneurs start their businesses and not intended as an operations centre for any political party,” PIJ Holdings said in a statement via their Facebook post.

They also expressed their disappointment as the place is not used for the intended purposes but instead, it was used as an election operations centre without their prior knowledge. It was also reportedly done without any mutual agreement or contract signed between PIJ Property and MUDA.

“We request MUDA to immediately vacate and return the premise to us in good conditions.”

We are not trespassers!

Just this evening, MUDA responded to the situation and in the media statement MUDA strongly denied any allegations made by PIH holdings.

According to the statement, MUDA explained that they have rented the premises on 26 February from the shop owner for an amount of RM4,000 per month.

“Permit letter had been issued by the shop owner and MUDA is allowed to use the place as Operation Room.”

Throughout the week, MUDA has never received any complaints from anyone, including the shop owner who claimed the party had trespassed the property. Not only that but PDRM, KKM, KDN & SPR had also visited them during the week and no issues were brought up, until last night (3 March). The police came to the scene and asked the party to vacate the premises.

“We will not be affected by this tactic which clearly aims to pressure us,” they assured.

MUDA also reiterated that they will continue their service for the people in Larkin, Johor.
