Window solar films are a common addition to Malaysian cars, with the sun beaming down on us 24/7, cars in Malaysia tend to have very dark tints even though the law does not permit it.

Taking to social media, one netizen explains why it is dangerous to literally block out the sun with your 80-90% tint work.

Beginning his video with, “Car modifications you only make if you are stupid!” the video circles around the problem of car owners blacking out their windows.

“People do it for lame reasons such as for privacy and safety. I ask those who do it, are you really that important?”

Sharing implications why tinting your car is not good for you or other road users, this netizen shared, “When you tint your cars a little darker than usual, the driver behind you cannot see beyond your car, disabling them from taking the necessary precautions in the event of emergency braking.”

“This situation is known as seeing ‘pass front car’.”

“If your excuse is to block out heat, get a tint that blocks UV lighting.”

“If you think that blacking out your windows will rid yourself from attention, you are dead wrong.”

“You will eventually attract the attention of the authorities.”

Mentioning that this is only one point against the practice of tinting car windows, the netizen mentions that it is not wrong to tint your cars, but do it in moderation.

That sounds like a logical argument, doesn’t it?
