We’ve heard of many homes and people who are struggling with this pandemic. However, animals and pets are equally in need with many pets going hungry along with their human families who cannot afford to eat.

Thankfully, organisations like Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM) are doing their best to keep animals fed with their pet food distribution initiative.

The president of Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM), Kalaivanan, shared with WORLD OF BUZZ that they managed to distribute pet food to 250 underprivileged people in North Gombak during two phases of their initiative.

“Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM) understands the plight of people who cannot afford to buy food for their families, let alone their pets. The high cost of pet food can reach up to RM100 to RM150 per month, which can cause difficulties in caring for pets,”

To prevent cases of pet abandonment, an initiative to hand out pet food has been implemented by Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM),” he said.

But, in order to expand their initiative into other locations and areas, they require your help!

How you can help

If you are interested in lending a hand, you can contact Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM) via WhatsApp at +6016-266 2007.

You can also make a donation to their account:

Name: Persatuan Haiwan Terbiar Malaysia (SAFM)
Bank: AFFINBANK
Account Number: 100040234095

Even a little help goes a long way.

Together, not only will we be able to keep our fellow Malaysians fed throughout this tough time, we can also make sure the little animals who call our country home won’t go hungry either.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
