Watch: Thief Runs Away With RM40K Worth Of Gold in Terengganu

People are indeed getting more and more desperate these days, especially with the recent rise of Covid-19 putting more jobs in jeopardy. As stealing, robbing and acts of crime continue to make its way on social media; only time will tell when people will no longer resort to illegal acts to make a living.

In Terengganu, a thief made away with RM40k when he stole two gold necklaces from a gold shop he went to.

Shared on Facebook page Info Roadblock JPJ/Polis, Deputy Superintendant Mohd Zain Mat Dris the daughter to the shop owner was unaware of the suspect’s actions who wanted to view the goods beforehand.

The suspect seen in red was wearing a face mask when the incident took place and was seen spending quite some time viewing the goods before running away with it at the end of the video.

Adding that the case is still under investigation, it is believed that the robber worked hand in hand with an accomplice.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for committing theft in a building, which could result in a 10-year imprisonment or a hefty fine.
