Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has been summoned to Bukit Aman on 16 October in order to record his statement over the list of 121 Members of Parliament (MP) who he claimed supported him to form a government.

According to a statement released on PDRM’s official Facebook page, they said that 113 police reports have been lodged so far against the list that went viral.

Investigations are being conducted under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Anwar Ibrahim has since been asked to appear at the office of the Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (USJT), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) tomorrow (16 October).

Bukit Aman JSJ director Datuk Huzir Mohamed urges the public not to make, publish or distribute any statements, rumours and news that have a tendency to create an atmosphere of disharmony, reported Berita Harian.

“It is also to avoid divisions and hostilities that could threaten public order and security,” he said.

On 13 October, Anwar Ibrahim met with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to present documentation of majority support.

He said in a media conference on the same day that he hopes that in two to three days, the Agong will call all party leaders for another meeting.

However, Istana Negara released a statement on the same day stating that Anwar Ibrahim “submitted the number of members from Dewan Rakyat who have supported him. However, he did not submit a list of the members’ names to back up these allegations.”

Stay tuned for more updates!
