One of the hardest thing to figure out among new parents is what to name their newborn children. Pick a weird name and the child might have a very difficult childhood being bullied by his or her peers. Most of the time, parents will resort to picking names that carry a beautiful meaning.

Holding this dearly to their heart and guiding by the fact that they want a name that symbolises the triumph of hardship, Preeti and Vinay Verma from India decided to name their newborn twins Corona and Covid.

According to the mother, as reported by Daily Mail, the birth of her twins occurred after her husband and she has faced several difficulties and they want to make the birth more memorable. She elaborated,

“Indeed the virus is dangerous and life-threatening but its outbreak made people focus on sanitation, hygiene and inculcate other good habits. Thus, we thought about these names.”

Both mother and babies have been discharged from the hospital even though they faced a few complications during birth which led the mother to opt for a caesarean. However, Corona and Covid’s parents did explain that they might change the names if something comes up in the future.

To parents out there, you have control of how your child will be treated throughout his or her life. So we hope you will think carefully before making an important decision like what to name your child. Please be mindful ya?
