Stealing is never ok unless it is me stealing your heart.

All the shops around us are equipped with CCTV. So if you have the intention of stealing something, don’t. A Singaporean man was recorded of stealing a pair of spectacles that cost about RM1,400 from a shop in Melaka.

After the video was shared by the shop owner, the culprit immediately asked him to remove the video showing him in action. This was prompted after the owner of Young Look Vision, wrote on the shops Facebook page,

“Ben Lee, you buy a RM120 frame but accidentally take my Japan frame, please return it to me or I will report police, thank you. Oh ya, just now you used a credit card to make payment so we can find out your details. Enjoy your holidays,”

According to Coconuts, the culprit used his credit card to pay for a cheaper item at the store before stealing the more expensive frame. Even the name that he gave on the receipt is fake.

Shop owner, Nickr Ng, explained that the culprit called him and pleaded for him to take down the video a few times, and even explaining that he “play-play” only. He had even transferred payment for the stolen glasses, which will take two to three working days.

Fortunately, Mr Nickr will get the payment for his stolen frame. However we do feel that he still needs to report the case to the authorities to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
