You’re not really a Marvel fan if you don’t know who the late Stan Lee was. Fanboys and fangirls, this is for you.
As most of us are aware, Marvel legend Stan Lee had many cameo appearances in many Marvel movies. He last appeared in Avengers: Endgame, which he shot the scene before his death in November 2018. His absence is still felt today whenever we’re catching up with the Marvel movies. Regardless, Marvel Entertainment announced on December 29 that they will be releasing a documentary about the late Stan Lee, the Marvel legend himself sometime in 2023.
The documentary will be released to celebrate “100 years of Stan Lee.”
“100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating,” Marvel Entertainment said in its Twitter post.
The documentary, which is simply titled “Stan Lee” will be available for streaming on Disney+ next year. The date of release, however, has yet to be determined.
The late Stan Lee was not only known for his multiple cameo appearances in Marvel blockbusters but also for his work in creating many characters that have made it to the big screen. Iconic characters such as Spiderman, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Iron Man, Fantastic 4, Doctor Strange, and others are among Lee’s handiwork, and the mentioned character also made their respective appearances on the screen.
Due to heart failure, Stan Lee passed away on November 12, 2018, just one day prior to his 96th birthday, and one year after the demise of his wife, Joan, who breathed her last on July 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
