Flight MH370 disappeared into thin air about 9 years ago. To some, especially the family of the victims, it was just like yesterday.
In the last 48 hours, the entire country has been taken aback by the insensitive remarks made by stand-up comedian Jocelyn Chia, who joked about the missing flight. One of the family members of the deceased cabin crew of MH370 has since responded to the joke and made it clear to Jocelyn that her “jokes” were nowhere near funny.
In fact, Intan Maizura, the widow of the deceased cabin crew of the missing flight described Jocelyn as having lack of empathy and heart.
“Do you know how many mothers are still crying out there?”
In her TikTok clip that has gone viral, Intan said that her son is still crying over the loss of his father today – 9 years after the shocking tragedy.
“And here you are, having the audacity to make fun of MH370. Do you know how many mothers are still crying out there?”
Intan then answered her rhetorical question and said that Jocelyn has no slightest idea about the emotional wreckage that the tragedy has caused, and the grief that many people are still going through.
“No matter how evil you are, don’t mention and make fun of MH370.”
Stop trying hard to get validation
Intan went on and told Jocelyn that she doesn’t have to “pull this kind of stupidity” to gain validation from anyone. To Intan, having compassion and empathy is all that matters.
“Having a heart, and living in a developing country is so much better than being a heinous human being and living in a 1st world country,” Intan expressed.
At the end of her clip, Intan urged the public to stop normalising doing tasteless and stupid stunts to get validation from others.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Intan said that her son hasn’t found out about Jocelyn’s viral video.
“It will definitely hurt his feelings if he comes across the clip.”
Intan also told WORLD OF BUZZ that her daughter, however, has watched the clip which enraged her.
“My daughter feels sad, and she mentioned that Jocelyn should be cancelled.”

Our condolences and prayers go to the family members of the victims of the missing flight. Hopefully, the truth about that fateful night in 2014 will one day come to light.
