When we fall in love, we tend to overlook our partner’s flaws and little quirks to accept them for who they are, but you should never ignore red flags in a relationship. That was what happened to this innocent woman, who was heinously betrayed by a religious leader in Singapore.

An enraged netizen shared this with us when she found out about the case as the poor woman was abandoned by a man she loved and trusted. She has since started crowdfunding for her case as she needs to hire a lawyer to help her get the justice she deserves.
The woman is a Filipino who was working in Singapore when she came to know this religious leader in 2012 and love blossomed between them. Soon, they started to have a steady relationship but because of his position, they had to keep their relationship a secret.

However, in 2013, the woman got pregnant and her boyfriend, the religious leader, asked her to abort the child as “it will tarnish his esteem reputation as ‘The Man of God’ in the community”. She said that she was naive and blinded by love, so she agreed to do so. Was he a self-proclaimed religious leader or what? >:(
The couple continued their relationship until 2015, when they had a short trip to Kuala Lumpur and he told her that he wanted her to renounce her religion and convert to his. Thinking that they were a match made in heaven, the woman agreed.

There’s no happy ending to this story though because she wrote,
“On our way back to Singapore, he broke the news to me that he will be marrying a Singaporean, whose father is a prominent figure in the community, and he even showed me the wedding card. I was totally devastated, and felt totally cheated by his lies! But, the bad news came later on, as I found out I was pregnant again. When you’re in love with someone and being so stupid, you cannot think straight.”
So, the man got married with his Singaporean girl and they approached the poor woman and requested her to abort her unborn baby. Another abortion! She refused and having no choice, the man brought her to Thailand to get married but requested that she kept silent about the whole affair.

She went on to explain, “I went back to the Philippines to give birth, as my family can take care of me there. He came over and spent some time with me and my new baby boy. I thought my nightmare was over, but that’s only the beginning.”
“During our marriage, I was told to keep away from him, and worst of all, he didn’t even care for his son, and (didn’t) provide maintenance for him. I confronted him and ended up being abused by him. Eventually, he divorced me through SMS, and that’s when reality slapped me in the face.”

The wronged woman ends her plea for help by asking for donations so that she can raise enough money to get a lawyer to help her case. She highlighted that she just wants to expose this man, who is a religious leader, to be known for what he truly is and that he would take responsibility for his infant son.
Poor woman! Hope she manages to make the cheating man accountable for what he did to her!
