The stickers, made available on multiple illustrations ranging from a teacup to a crying broken heart is made accessible by tapping the new sticker button in their app.

According to Channel NewsAsia the 2.18.329 version for the Android needs to be downloaded, whilst iPhone users will have to update to version 2.18.100 of the app.

The latest update which will feature the work of their own designers as well as a selection by other artists, will put WhatsApp on a similar playing field as Line, WeChat and Kakaotalk.

WhatsApp also said a third-party sticker support has been added to allow designers and developers to create their own stickers.

“To do this, we’ve included a set of APIs and Interfaces that allow you to build sticker apps that add stickers to WhatsApp on Android and iOS.”

Sounds interesting eh? BRB while I update my app first!
