Caught on video, this taxi driver became the talk of the town when his video breaking off an OKU driver’s wiper made its way onto social media.

Having gone viral on several channels, this taxi driver now faces condemnation for not only disrespecting/disobeying traffic laws but also the rights of this person, who has disabilities.

This is a sample of the viralled video. You might want to turn the volume down as the accompanying tunes may blast a little too loudly on your mobile device.

The video initially shows the taxi driver casually parking his vehicle in an OKU-designated parking spot, before a true OKU driver arrives at the scene and exercised the person’s rights to the designated spot.

After identifying that the person in the silver Kancil was indeed an OKU driver, this taxi driver hurriedly reversed his vehicle and gave the OKU something to remember him by, by ripping of his wipers.

Naturally, this did not go down well with netizens. Here are some choice words they had for the driver.

2 001

“This might just be a new disability. One without the use of brain power.”

2 002 1

“At this point, I am beginning to generalize that taxi drivers too have a feeling of self-entitlement.”

Lets hope that the authorities will get to the bottom of this and make this road user an example of what NOT to do in this type of situation.
