We don’t have to tell you how or why dogs are a man’s best friend, we’ll let this video prove it.
A soldier was recently caught on camera cuddling with his K9 companion after the Merdeka Day celebrations. The moment was captured as he was allegedly the only one who took some time to sit and cuddle with his furry buddy.
The adorable video was showcased by the Panggilan Pertiwi Facebook page, along with a bittersweet message from the soldier himself, explaining why he decided to show his friend some affection.
Panggilan Pertiwi wrote, “Man’s best friend. Thank you for your service, sir.”
The super sweet moment can cause your eyes to leak, when you find out why the soldier took the time to snuggle with the doggy.
It turns out that they will be parting ways soon.
“Thank you, I want to tell you that the person in the pictures is me with my dog, Loki, and this is our last Independence day celebration together because we will be parting ways soon,” he said.
“We have faced the minefields of life together over the years and he is my true friend. I will be resigning because my service is coming to an end,” the soldier, known as Micro Junior, wrote in a comment.
We’re willing to admit, we’re full on ugly crying right now.
Seeing how much the duo love and care for one another, we genuinely hope that they’ll one day be reunited, perhaps after Loki’s service comes to an end too.
