Malaysians are getting sick and tired of VVIP motorcades disrupting traffic. Just look at what netizens are writing about them on social media! To many, it is okay to give way to emergency vehicles, because it IS an emergency. But why do our politicians deserve the same treatment, when they are there because we voted them in, in the first place?

And this incident is no different. To make things worse, this motorcade became the cause of a traffic collision which was all caught on video.

Check it out!

In the 50-second video, two police officers can be seen stopping traffic at a junction in Sarawak.

Having made to stop abruptly, a white Kenari rear ended a red Wira, after the latter stopped abruptly at the sight of the police officers attempting to halt traffic.

Moments later, a motorcade can be seen roaming through the collision, not wasting a moment’s time to actually stop and witness the damage that took place right before their eyes.

Netizens were unimpressed.

Taking to social media, many slammed VVIPs like the ones we see in the video for disregarding public safety.

In one comment that got a lot of retweets and likes, one netizen commented: “The motorcade did not even bother to stop? When you want power, you were willing to meet the people no matter how remote they were.”

“When you have power, you simply turn a blind eye on things that unfold right before your eyes.”

Let’s face it, things like this are common nowadays and there is nothing much we can do but watch. We sincerely hope that both drivers in the incident are safe and well.
