Yesterday (30 March), videos of a young man getting beaten up until he was left bleeding went viral after being posted on a Facebook group. Two unidentified men, believed to be his superiors, could be seen throwing punches and verbal threats to the youth in the captured footage.

The footage shows the young man being backed up into a corner of the wall while crying. One of the men behind the camera can be heard aggressively questioning the victim, asking him if he respected the boss. However, before the poor man is able to respond, he gets punched, kicked, and slapped by another man until he started bleeding from his lip.

The young man was said to be beaten up for raising his voice at his boss’ wife. “I only spoke louder because I was afraid she couldn’t hear me,” he said in the video. He denied using vulgar language while conversing after one of his abusers kicks him again.

Another video shared in the post showed the young man wearing a motorcycle helmet while holding a cigarette and what appears to be a beer bottle. One of the men behind the camera can be heard shouting at the victim, forcing him to drink alcohol despite the young man’s cries that he can no longer drink.

In the caption of the post, a netizen shared that the incident occurred in a shophouse at Taman Seri Duyong in Ayer Molek, Melaka. According to Sin Chew Daily, the young man was employed by a mobile phone company to run online gambling activities for a salary of RM2,500 a month. However, when employees want to leave the company, they are subjected to physical abuse and their employers will demand that they pay RM7,500 for severance fees.

Many netizens took to the comment section to express their concern and asked for the case to be reported to authorities immediately.

Hopefully, these perpetrators are brought to justice!
