To those who have tried Uncle Roger’s Special Fried Rice at his restaurant, you’ll be aware that it’s sold at RM18.
If you think it’s too expensive, Nigel Ng, better known as his alter ego Uncle Roger announced today (December 18) that customers will see a slight drop in the price of his fried rice.
In a TikTok video by Uncle Roger himself @fuiyohitsuncleroger, the Malaysian comedian revealed the latest price for fried rice is now set at RM16, applicable at ALL outlets! (Yes, including Pavilion KL)!
He recently launched the opening of Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger at MyTown Shopping Center in KL, and IPC in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. Is it too cheap for a plate of fried rice in a mall, and can it sustain the business in the long run?
Uncle Roger has a plan up his sleeves.
“Don’t worry, Uncle Roger is going to include more expensive items in the menu soon, and you can flex your money.”
Social media users, on the other hand, thought that the latest pricing does not make a lot of difference, and said it is still expensive for just a plate of fried rice.
A netizen converted the latest pricing to SGD and said it is considered reasonable in Singapore.
@fuiyohitsuncleroger Haiyaa…why so many confusion. Uncle Roger want to confirm all fry rice and noodle now RM16 at ALL outlets. Fuiyoh! 🍚🔥 #fuiyohitsuncleroger #uncleroger #fryrice #socheap
