We all know that Tony Fernandes is the beloved founder of our favourite budget airline AirAsia and he is known for his down-to-earth attitude and kind heart. Even though he is the “big boss” of AirAsia, he doesn’t mind helping out his crew when he was on-board a flight on International Cabin Crew Day. Setting good examples for bosses everywhere!
AirAsia’s headquarters in Sepang, RedQ also houses a dog home, affectionately known as DogQ for the four stray dogs that they adopted a few months ago. Previously, the adorable dogs have already earned a special place in many of AirAsia’s staff members hearts and they decided to keep them as a cute addition to their family.
The staff even approached Tony Fernandes asking his permission to keep the dogs and he readily agreed. According to Star2, he said, “They asked if they can keep the dogs, and I immediately said yes. The dogs literally grew up in RedQ. We should not just keep them, but build a proper home for them.”
At that time, AirAsia People Department executive Ahmad Faizul Ahmad Rusli said that the dogs did not have names yet, and were slightly confused as everyone had a different nickname for them. However, he said that they would run a contest and allow the higher management to pick the names.
And their names were recently unveiled on Tony’s Facebook page, as he posed with the four cuddly pets in front of RedQ. The four dogs are now named after their airlines, QZ, AK, FD and D7. In his post, Tony also said the dogs were incredibly loving and praised his staff for giving them a second chance.
The post garnered more than 1,800 shares within one day and many netizens praised Tony and AirAsia for their kindness and envied the staff for being able to have such cute work companions.
One said, “Good humanity job! Can become the mascots of AirAsia Group. Guess D7 has better stamina and can run the furthest among the four.”
Now, if only all offices adopted some cute pets too!
