Malaysians are on the edge of their seats after celebrity chef Khairul Aming announced that his RM4 million restaurant, Rembayung, will soon open to the public.

As we reported earlier, Khairul shared the exciting news himself in a TikTok post, revealing that construction on the restaurant has been underway since January this year.

Malaysians have already started rating the restaurant

With a whopping RM4 million investment and an 8,000-square-foot space, the restaurant is expected to accommodate up to 250 customers at a time.

Despite all the congratulations and excitement from the public, it’s surprising that many fans have already left 5-star reviews for the restaurant, even before it’s officially opened.

Most of the reviews are positive, with many showing their love and support for the celebrity’s latest milestone.

However, some critics have also weighed in, giving Khairul’s restaurant a one-star rating on Google Reviews.

At the same time, some reviewers gave the restaurant a 1-star rating, saying it’s unfair for future genuine reviewers when people give a 5-star rating to a place that hasn’t even opened yet.

Things to keep in mind before paying Rembayung a visit when it opens!

Khairul’s goal with Rembayung is to showcase and serve traditional Malay cuisine. There are a few things to keep in mind before you visit.

He recommends that customers carpool to avoid the hassle of finding parking or take public transport, since the Monorail station is just a 5-minute walk away.

He also reminded everyone that the restaurant won’t accept walk-ins, so be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
