Is this guy getting married to the love of his life or his favourite video game?
In a recent TikTok video that has since gone viral, it shows a couple getting married in a traditional wedding ceremony. While this may seem like a regular occurrence for lovebirds, what makes this particular one stand out is the fact that the groom, instead of being present in the moment on one of the most important days of his life, is seen being preoccupied playing the popular video game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) on his mobile phone. Wow, the PUBG craze has really reached new heights wei!
Meanwhile, as reported by Indian Express, his wife who is seated next to him says nothing at all and just stares blankly at her husband being so engrossed in his phone. He seems to have no care in the world, ignoring his beautiful bride and even the heart-thumping music that’s playing in the background. Hello, why you ignore your wife?
Even when a wedding guest hands them a gift, he simply pushes it away, looking annoyed that something has come between him and his favourite game, quite literally.
Netizens who saw the viral 15-second clip, which has since circulated on other social media platforms, were definitely amused by this unusual scene. However, we are not sure if the video is real or staged, as some netizens argued that this could actually be just an act as a way to drive views for TikTok.

Well, whatever it is, we can’t deny the fact that PUBG is taking the world by storm. In some extreme cases, the addiction had resulted in unpleasant consequences, such as when a man accidentally drank acid while playing the game; or when a husband was so addicted to it, he actually left his pregnant wife and family.
And in Malaysia, the Mufti of Negeri Sembilan wanted to ban the game, saying that it encourages violence among children. However, in contrary, Syed Saddiq thinks PUBG has nothing to do with violence.
What do you think of the TikTok video that has gone viral? Do you think it was staged? If it is indeed real, do you know anyone who loves PUBG as much as this groom?
