A Malaysian woman was completely put off after she found not one, but two unexpected “guests” in her meal.

In a viral TikTok post by @n.nadiaaaaaaaa, the woman bought a portion of chicken in soy sauce (Ayam Masak Kicap) with rice for her dinner, but she couldn’t find the appetite to enjoy her meal, nor did she want to.

There were 2 dead cockroaches in her meal, which were camouflaged by the soy sauce

In her post, Nadia jokingly remarked,

“They lived and died together. Perhaps, they fell into the wok when they were dancing together.”

Didn’t Nadia notice or smell the pests? According to her, the large amount of soy sauce had managed to cover the cockroaches, which made her unaware of their presence when she unboxed her meal.

In the comment sections, many social media users suggested that Nadia report the matter to the relevant authorities. Nadia, however, went back to the vendor.

She bought her meal from a roadside stall

In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Nadia said she returned to the vendor and spoke up about the matter. Instead of a refund, Nadia got herself another meal on the house.

“I told the vendor about the cockroaches. In return, the vendor gave me a new portion of Ayam Masak Kicap with Murtabak, and a cup of beverage.”

Nadia also told WORLD OF BUZZ that she did not purchase the meal from a Ramadan Bazaar, as reported by other portals.

“I bought it at the roadside stall near my house in Kampung Padang Nenas, Terengganu.”

You can watch Nadia’s cockroach discovery in the video below, but heads up, do not watch while you’re eating.
