While the crowds in Thailand were having fun during the water-splashing Songkran festival, a woman suddenly gave birth on the street.
She gave birth on the roadside before returning to the Songkran festival with her friends, and the newborn was left to die alone.

The entire act was captured on a surveillance camera at the Rotsarin Village on Soi Kosum Ruamjai 34 in Bangkok’s Don Mueang district. The newborn was still alive when discovered, but tragically died shortly after, as rescue workers tried to perform CPR on the baby in an attempt to save it.
According to the police, the 27-year-old woman, Piyathida, initially denied that it was her newborn, despite the continuous blood flow, which she claimed was due to her menstrual cycle. The woman eventually admitted she gave birth to the baby near a parked car, but said she couldn’t remember who the father was.
Piyathida was then rushed to the hospital as the bleeding did not stop

During the questioning, the woman, who was under the influence of alcohol, said she had two other children and two ex-husbands. Both children are now under the care of her former partners’ relatives. However, the police could not question her further as she is still receiving treatment in the hospital following major blood loss.
She told her friend she wasn’t pregnant
Her 20-year-old friend, Am, told the media that she decided to break off the friendship after the incident due to her cruelty. Am was previously close to Piyaditha as they both lived together in a rented house with Am’s boyfriend.
Am, who noticed that Piyaditha was pregnant, asked if the latter was sure about joining the Songkran festival given her condition. Piyaditha, however, claimed that she was just gaining weight and was still eager about the Songkran festival, as reported by Thailand media The Thaiger.
