Asia has never had a shortage of erratic politicians.
And as funny as some of their antics may be, other times it’s a little more concerning.
According to Channel News Asia, the Thai prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha apparently sprayed sanitiser at reporters after he got annoyed at a question during the weekly press conference.
After taking on a series of questions from reporters, General Prayut was asked about a possible cabinet reshuffle.
He then told reporters to mind their own business and started spraying an alcoholic sanitiser at the reporters on the front row.
General Prayut, who overthrew the elected government in a coup back in 2014, is said to be a quick-tempered former army commander who is known for his unpredictable behaviour.
He had previously fondled the ear of a reporter, threw a banana peel at camera operators and during one event in 2018, he declined to speak to the media and left a life-sized cutout of himself at the scene.
“Ask this guy,” he told reporters and walked away.
