For Malaysian born entrepreneur Nur Sajat, controversy is always just around the corner. Whether it’s her making controversial statements, or her being put into such situations.

Recently in a short 30-second video which caught the attention of many netizens, Sajat preached about the responsibilities of a parent.

In the video, Sajat stressed that although she may be transgender, her responsibilities still lie with her children although they are living far from her.

“If you are a man, (and) you do not look after your children (whom) you created with (your wife), and because your relationship with her did not succeed, (if) you don’t look after (them), you are not a man,” Sajat stated.

“Your rank is worse than a ‘pondan’.”

If you weren’t aware, the LGBTQ+ influencer had moved to Australia to escape Malaysia where she is now free to be whoever she likes, without being condemned or judged by society. However, her sudden move forced her to leave behind her 2 children in Malaysia.

She has a point

The video has gone viral and sparked debate. Although some netizens failed to see the main point she was making and congratulated her for acknowledging her true gender, the rest of the comments supported her claims.

“Her point is about responsibility.”

Another commented, “I don’t know why but lately I’ve been agreeing with Sajat’s views.”

Another user told those who are focusing on the wrong things to take the positive parts of Sajat’s statements.

Take the positive part of what Sajat is trying to say,” a user said.
