The Ideal Convention Center (IDCC) Vaccination Centre (PPV) in Shah Alam will be closed for a day after a staff member at the PPV was found to be positive with Covid-19.
According to a report by Utusan, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) shared that the immediate closure measure was taken as a result of the Covid-19 test results obtained last night, to enable sanitation work to be carried out.
“Tests were conducted on 10 July, involving all staff members. Following this measure, so far, a total of 204 staff members have been found positive,”
“RT-PCR results have shown that all positives have a CT (cycle threshold) of more than 35, where they have a low viral load,” shared Coordinating Minister of the National COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICK), Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.
Those present at PPV from 29 June to 12 July advised to get tested if showing symptoms
Therefore, CITF recommends those who were present for vaccinations at IDCC between 29 June to yesterday (12 July) to make a self-assessment and if symptomatic, to undergo a Covid-19 screening test as a precaution.
“The appointments given for the day has been rescheduled to a date that will be informed as soon as possible,” they said, adding that further details will be shared from time to time.
They added that those with any questions or enquiries about the situation can contact 03-88934303 for further information.
