Taking to Facebook, a police officer recently shared what could happen to you, if you happen to enjoy a spot of weed overseas and come back positive for narcotics upon arrival on Malaysian shores.

In the video, the office explains: “If say you went on holiday, in countries where weed is legal, in this case, Thailand…that you either consume, smoke or use any form of cannabis-based products, before coming back to Malaysia, (you should) perform your urine test.”

“Test if you are positive for narcotics or not. Why? Because if you are found positive for drugs, and if you are caught by AADK or the Narcotics Unit, you can be charged under Section 15 (1) (A) of the Dangerous Drugs Act,” he shared.

“So regardless if you smoke in Thailand or elsewhere, if you re-enter Malaysia, you are still at the fault of drug-related offences.”

Remember to do your due diligence before you enjoy a little too much overseas. Safe travels!
