We have good news for you! UniFi has announced that Malaysians can enjoy free wifi access in a brand refresh launch on 25 September at Menara Telekom. This sweet promotion will be available for free to all Malaysians until 31 December 2017 so make sure to utilise it! Awesome!

It’s also super simple to use because all you need to do is enable the wifi mode on your device and select “wifi@unifi” SSID when you are in the coverage area. After that, it will bring you to a landing page where you just need to follow the instructions and then you can browse as you wish. There are more than 5,800 locations nationwide!

However, UniFi also said that they are launching their free app known as “i-foundit!” soon for easier access to their hotspots on Android and iOS. Plus, the app shows the coverage locations, which means you can look for the nearest hotspot and use that cool free Internet.

Don’t worry if you happen to miss the promo because after 31 December, the charges for wifi access is only 10 sens per hour. Cheap, right? 

Here are some of the things you should know:

1. All users, regardless of nationality can use the service

2. Anyone can use it, even non UniFi customers

3. There is no login ID required as no registration is needed

4. Users can enjoy unlimited access of wifi connection up to 4Mbps

Other than that, The Star also announced that two other new UniFi packages were launched. These are targeted at e-entrepreneurs and students, which are known as unifi ebiz and unifi edu respectively. These plans are supposed to achieve speeds up to 100Mbps and come with wifi@unifi access and mobility for the convenience of users but further details will be revealed in a separate event.
