The Malaysian government will channel humanitarian aid of RM1 million to help the Lebanese people affected by the explosion in Beirut last Tuesday. Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, as reported by Sinar, that the aid will be channelled through the Lebanese Red Cross Organization (LRC). He stated,

“We share our grief and suffering with our brothers in Lebanon. Malaysia extends our sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims who lost their loved ones. To the injured, we also pray that they recover quickly.”

PM Muhyiddin is confident and believes that the people of Lebanon are able to overcome the impact of the tragedy and will continue to live with continued spirit and unity.

In dire times like this, we can only pray for the safety of those who were affected by the explosion and hopefully, more help will come in from neighbouring countries as well.
