Parents started complaining after pictures and videos of an alleged teacher posing nude at a school, wearing only a mask, went viral on social media.

The Education Ministry said they’re looking into the incident after he was seen posing nude, wearing only a Batman mask, at a school in Thailand, as reported by Bangkok Post.

The commission’s deputy secretary-general, Tee Pawangkanant, shared how The Office of the Basic Education Commission (Obec) plans to take action.

Parents’ complaints were brought to Tee by social media activist Guntouch Pongpaiboonwet, also known as Gun Jom Palang. Guntouch mentioned that the man took photos in different places, including inside classrooms.

He also called the incident disturbing and urged the school director to take quick action.

Students were allegedly threatened to stay quiet

The activist claimed that during a morning assembly, the school director told students to ignore the incident and even warned them that there would be consequences if they spoke to the authorities about it.

Meanwhile, Tee said that Obec secretary-general Thanu Wongchinda had been informed about the complaints, and the local education office would be launching an investigation soon. He also mentioned that if the culprit is found guilty, he’ll face disciplinary action and could be fired on the spot.

He also said that he hasn’t spoken to the school director yet, who will be investigated for allegedly threatening students to stay quiet.
