It’s no secret that Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Berhad, or more commonly known as PETRONAS, is the world’s strongest Oil & Gas brand. And with that strength comes the mushrooming of PETRONAS stations all over the world!
With them having operations in over 100 countries across the globe, it’s only natural for them to eventually open a PETRONAS petrol station overseas, right? And now, they have!
Brazilian business developer, Murilo Dancieri Silveira, took to his LinkedIn page to showcase Brazil’s first PETRONAS petrol station in Sao Paolo.
He wrote, “Today is a very special day for me and for the history of the fuel sector in Brazil! Today, the first petrol station with PETRONAS in Brazil was born, and this is also the first petrol station from this company outside its country of origin, the beautiful Malaysia!”
“With this move, we now offer Brazilian consumers the option of filling up with the fuel 8x champion of the (Formula 1) constructor’s championship, PETRONAS Primax. We at Argenta and SIM Distriduidora de Combustíveis are proud to participate in this movement!”
Though, this might not exactly be PETRONAS’s first petrol station outside of Malaysia as they apparently previously had stations in Indonesia.
Murilo Dancieri Silveira went on to thank a bunch of people, including PETRONAS’s Head of Customer Marketing & Communications, Retail Brand Licensing and Solutions, Foo Lung Choe, and PETRONAS’s Head of Enhanced Retail (International), Ahmad Nazirul Zolkefli.
“Thank you for trusting in me and in our Company! “
What do you think of PETRONAS’s first petrol station outside of Malaysia? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
