Thanks to the continuous support from fans, Akka Nasi Lemak is now the internet “superstar” with a huge fanbase for her food. Sadly, despite her success and fame, not many are aware of the tears and sadness that she’s trying to hide from the public.
There’s always competition in a business and Akka, or her real name Sangeeta is no stranger to competition. In a talk show broadcasted on Astro Ulagam, Sangeeta revealed that there are certain people who are not happy with her success and fame. The competition became toxic to the extent that she was insulted.
Just recently, a TikTok clip showing Sangeeta breaking down in tears went viral on social media, where she had a lot to express.
“I’m not living a luxury life as you may have thought”
Despite her booming business, Sangeeta cannot deny that it came at the cost of her health as she lost weight since her business went viral on social media. This is due to the extreme tiredness of handling a small business with a huge fanbase.
Sangeeta also said that throughout her 13 years selling Nasi Lemak, her pressure went up following the circulation of the business. At times, she had trouble eating because she has been cooking the same food every day for more than a decade, which also contributed to her weight loss.
Earlier this month, Sangeeta had to put a pause on her business due to health issues as announced via her Facebook page. In terms of her living conditions, it’s not as luxurious as the public may have perceived.
“You can come take a look at my rented place and see my living condition,” Sangeeta cried.
The mother of 4 children said that they’re still sleeping in the same room, with barely any furniture. Sangeeta made a point and she wanted others to know that the family is still struggling, despite the well-received business.
