Have you been craving Indian food but don’t have time to sit somewhere and eat it on a busy day? Your troubles are finally over!
Malaysian restaurant Kaara Saaram Claypot has become a staple for many Indian food lovers across the nation with its delicious selections and diverse cuisine. With franchises located in Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Sunway, Brickfields, Bangsar, and Puchong, some of the eatery’s most sought-after dishes include their signature clay pot rice, roti canai, and nasi lemak goreng.
However, Kaara Saaram has officially made history in Malaysia, as the first Indian restaurant to have a drive-through with the opening of a franchise in Georgetown, Penang. In what is their 15th branch overall, the Penang outlet has also recorded an entry in the Malaysian Book of Records.
In a post shared by the Book of Records official Instagram page @malaysiabookofrecords, the event was attended and officiated by the President of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr S A Vigneswaran and Deputy President of MIC, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr M Saravanan.
“Now you don’t have to queue nor worry about parking, cause in Penang, you can drive up and get delicious food at Malaysia’s first drive-through Indian restaurant Kaara Saaram Claypot. Congratulations on your grand opening and national record entry!” read the post.
Receiving praise for the achievement, Malaysians also shared in the accomplishment by the restaurant and wished them success in their future endeavours with this opening.
