In an accident that occurred early on Friday (25 Oct) morning, a worker for the Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) passed away at the scene of the accident after he was rammed at an intersection in Georgetown by a Honda Accord who was driven by a lady from China who was allegedly drunk.
Georgetown OCPD Asst Comm Che Zamani Che Awang explained that at the moment, a post mortem is being carried and a blood sample from the driver has been taken to test for alcohol and drug content. The driver is now being remanded for further investigation.
