Police is now on the hunt for a motorcyclist who groped a girl in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
The incident happened on 25 March 2021 at Lorong Limau Manis, Jalan Hamzah. The victim was walking alone to work at around 9:40am in the morning. According to Kosmo, the ACP Chief of Kelantan Criminal Investigations Department, Wan Khairuddin Wan Idris said that the 18 year-old victim had lodged a police report at around 11am on the same day.
Wan Khairuddin said that under Section 354 of the penal code for assault and obscene act. The incident was captured by the CCTV around the area and the footage has now been shared online.
The suspect is seen riding a brown Honda C90 motorcycle and believed to be around 40 to 50 years old. Anyone who knows and has information about the suspect is urged to contact the police immediately to help the investigation.
In the CCTV footage, the suspect was riding a motor and wandering around the residential area. He then stopped to have a conversation with the victim that he targeted.
The victim then walked away from him. It was shown in the other frame of the footage that after confirming that there was no other vehicle around, the suspect slowly rode up to the victim from behind and molested her.
