“World’s number 1 singer”, Dato Aliff Syukri often amuses or annoys Malaysians with his controversial posts on social media. He has a lot of “tricks” up his sleeve to get the country’s attention but this time, he’s getting the fame once again for his efforts in helping the people.

The entrepreneur is now selling durians at only RM5 per kilo, and he’s doing so simply because he wants to help people while doing business. In his Instagram posts, Aliff posed at his durian farm, where he revealed that he has been running the farm for more about 18 months, and said that he’s doing this side business for fun.

Aliff has only recently started to get involved in the durian business. He sets up his “stall” just outside his office in Kota Damansara, PJ, and the crowds were building up! He said that he will be selling durians fresh from his farm every day from 11 am to 7 pm, and denied that he was trying to create competition in the industry.

“I’m only doing this for fun and as a charity for the people in Kota Damansara.”

When it comes to durian, the Rolls Royce of the fruit – Musang King is definitely one of the best sellers but that’s not the only breed of durian that he has to offer.

“I have everything. Red Prawn, Musang King, IOI, Black Thorn and more.”

In the clips on his IG, you can see how occupied Aliff and his team are trying to serve the excited customers. He also said that the earnings he gains from this business will be used for his children’s school fees.

In another post, Aliff also dedicated this successful business to his late dad.

“It reminded of a night in 2017 when my dad was craving for durian. It was late night but I tried my best to make him happy. He got to eat eventually and it made me happy to see him happy.”

Behind every successful man, there is always an inspiring and touching story. If you’re staying in PJ or near Kota Damansara, do give it a try if you’re interested.
