RM1 for a Nasi Lemak? Is it still possible, especially in the Klang Valley?
While it takes a real “detective” to hunt for the cheapest food possible in the most expensive town, a Nasi Lemak vendor in Manong, Kuala Kangsar, Perak recently went viral on social media for selling the food at only RM1.
According to a Facebook post by Viral Perak, the roadside stall is located near a place called Laksa Podin headed to SMK Tajul Ariffin.
The RM1 Nasi Lemak stall is open everyday from 7 am except on Fridays.
Judging from the images, it looks like the Nasi Lemak doesn’t come with much ingredients (except the basic ones of course), but perhaps you shouldn’t be expecting extra chicken, meats, or seafood. Regardless, to have what a Nasi Lemak needs for only RM1 is still a good news!
“Not that far from Setapak”
Many were excited to see that some vendors are still offering cheap price to the customers but some netizens, on the other hand, were more attracted to the vendor’s beauty instead.
Some men were also hinting that they’re headed to the stall to see the vendor.
“She looks good, and expect to see more men arguing with their wives after buying Nasi Lemak from her.”
“Coincidentally, I am looking for RM1 Nasi Lemak. Good thing it’s only 20 mins from me.”
“Are you open tomorrow? I think all Nasi Lemak shops in Ipoh are closed tomorrow.”
“With her look, she will even do well with a plain rice business.”
“Coincidentally, it’s not far from Setapak. I can give this a try.”
“To all the wives out there, please be alert if your husband is here. He might sit there from morning till noon.”
Regardless, if you’re looking for a budget Nasi Lemak without expecting extra ingredients, do give this a try! It’s only RM1!
