An object, believed to have fallen from space, was discovered in Pekan

Based on initial investigations by MOSTI, the object is suspected to have fallen into the sea and washed up on shore by the current. The fragment, which was 4.26 metres long and 3.64 metres wide, with an estimated weight of 500kg, had barnacles attached to it.

Mohd Zaidi stated, “The Space Authority Division, MOSTI, the Malaysian Atomic Energy Department and the Malaysian Space Agency have investigated the discovery of the object.
