Our Malaysian heroes have made it back safely from the Paris Olympics. One of the athletes responsible for securing the bronze medals, Lee Zii Jia penned an inspiring post which he shared on Facebook today (August 14).
Gold medal, here we go!
In his post, Zii Jia had a lot of people to thank, not just his fans but also the closest people who have always been with him through thick and thin. The badminton player highlighted one of his proudest achievements – bringing back the bronze medal.
“I’m so glad to bring home this bronze medal. This achievement is also a token of appreciation to all the people, including the sponsors who have been there with me. Thank you for believing in me.”
Zee Jia also thanked the fans for being his emotional support system and backbone.
With the next Olympics in 4 years, Zii Jia already has a goal to achieve.
“My next goal is to make Malaysia’s Olympics gold medal dream come true. Now, it’s time to pick myself up and work on my next goal,” Zii Jia expressed.
“You’re never alone!”
Social media users were happy to hear from Zii Jia and continued to express their support and words of affirmation for the legendary badminton player.

In case you missed it, Lee Zii Jia was not the only one who secured the bronze medal in the Paris Olympics. Men’s doubles pair, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik also brought home the bronze medal.
