Recently, a cross-dresser and influencer, Bryan Wee aka Bai En, took to his TikTok account to showcase himself walking into a female washroom at an undisclosed location in Malaysia. In the recording, the washroom was empty, with no one else inside.

In the video, he said, “Ladies should use the ladies’ washroom.”
Can or cannot?
His actions, though, led to a discussion among Malaysians, as many questioned whether Bai En had the right to use the ladies’ washroom. Among those who questioned this is the #UpdateInfo X page, which shared Bai En’s video and asked, “Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), can a man dressed in women’s clothing enter a female washroom?”

Netizens were divided
His video, which at the time of writing has garnered over 1,300 likes and over 50 comments on TikTok, attracted mixed reactions from fellow Malaysians. While some pointed out that his actions were wrong, others simply found it humorous.

“If a ‘real’ man enters, they’d get ridiculed. If it’s an ‘artificial’ woman, they’ll say it’s ‘her’ freedom.”

“If this is the case, next time there will be lustful men dressed like this to go r*pe women in toilets. So, before that happens, DON’T normalise this.”

“Ah that’s it. Don’t start this in Malaysia. PDRM, please arrest and summon them.”

“Wah, little brother, are you a girl?”

“He really entered the female toilet!”
