According to NST, the teeenager’s parents had dropped both of them at the mall at around 12.30pm as the girls wanted to seek for employment. Meanwhile, the victim’s parents headed over to a nearby wholesale market to do some shopping.

The victim, identified as Amiratul Hakimah Ismail, from Kampung Kasau near Batu Kikir had suddenly complained that she wasn’t feeling well and had to stop to take a break. She said she felt like fainting; she then suddenly lost consciousness but her friend managed to catch hold of her before she fell to the ground.

Jempol district police chief superintendent Muhd Nur Hishamuddin Hashim explained, “The victim managed to regain consciousness and was assisted by her friend to sit on a nearby bench before she said she felt like vomiting.”

The teen’s mother who arrived at the scene a few minutes later was stricken by the sudden death of her daughter and had fainted when she found out. Meanwhile, the cause of death is still not known but the police said that they have sent the body to the Jempol Hospital for a post-mortem. The case has been classified as sudden death.

RIP, Amiratul.
